Art & Vintage Sale Raises Over $8000 for Village #1
Despite extreme summer heat and a classic Tucson monsoon thunderstorm, our community showed up in full force for The Homing Project’s Monsoon & Moonlight Art Market & Silent Auction! We raised more than $8,000 for The Homing Project, putting us that much closer to the opening of Village #1 and giving our first set of residents a home.
The evening was filled with vibrant energy as guests explored a wonderful array of original artwork, fine prints, handcrafted jewelry, soothing windchimes, and unique vintage and collectible items. Visitors also had the opportunity to tour one of our micro-cabins, offering them a firsthand look at the safe, dignified shelter space we are working so hard to build.
Music, Food & Creativity
The atmosphere was lively all night long, thanks to incredible live musical performances by guitarist and vocalist Elisabeth Blin, as well as the talented duo Denise Lane & Tammy West.
Guests tapped into their own creative sides at a custom card-making station hosted by Rachel Ann Johnson of RAGtime Design Studio. To keep everyone nourished and refreshed, Bombolé served up their absolutely fabulous savory empanadas and refreshing aguas frescas, paired perfectly with a spread of sweet baked treats lovingly made by our volunteers.
