The Homing Project Fall Campaign
Finding a Way. Home.
By Claudio Raygoza, Marketing & Design Consultant
Our next chapter we’ve named our “Finding a Way. Home.” campaign. Our goal is to raise the final $200,000 needed to complete Phase I and bring our village fully to life. With $300,000 already secured, we’re close to reaching our $500,000 budget. Every donation will directly support the finishing touches – final site work, safety infrastructure, and ensuring that residents have everything they need to thrive from day one.
Leading this fundraising campaign is Glenn Paris, our new Philanthropy Coordinator. With more than 30 years of experience in fundraising, Glenn has helped organizations transform missions into sustainable movements. He’s passionate about making sure The Homing Project reaches the people who need it most. As Glenn says: “Homelessness is not an abstract issue. It’s personal, and it’s solvable. When we come together as a community, we can move from quick fixes to real solutions. The first village is proof that change is possible, but we need everyone to take part. Whether it’s through a donation, volunteering, or spreading the word, this is a chance to be part of something that truly transforms lives.”
This project is about opportunity – both for those finally gaining a safe, stable place to call home and for the community to actively shape a better future for Tucson. Every gift makes a difference. A contribution of $50 can provide essential household items, $500 can support multiple needs and is recognized with an opportunity to engrave a personal message on a terrace paver, and $1,000 can help fund critical site infrastructure. For those in a position to give more, a $25,000 gift can name a micro-shelter home, creating a lasting legacy of dignity and stability. You’ll find a full list of giving levels and donor benefits on our website, each tailored to support this transformative campaign. Seer the link below.
Of course, giving financially is just one way to help. Volunteers are vital to construction, landscaping, and creating a sense of community. Local businesses can contribute materials or services. Even simply sharing this project with friends, family, or coworkers creates ripples of awareness and impact that extend far beyond a single home.
And this is only the beginning. Phases II and III will bring two more sites, each housing nearly 100 residents. These expansions will be built thoughtfully to maximize resources and community support. But it all starts here, on Estrella Avenue. This first village is both proof of concept and a promise: with compassion, planning, and action, Tucson can set the standard for addressing homelessness with dignity and effectiveness.
We’d love for you to be part of this moment. Whether you donate, volunteer, or advocate, your support will directly change lives in our city. Together, we’re creating more than homes – we’re restoring dignity, building community, and proving that homelessness can be solved. It truly takes a village to build a village. And with you, we are finding a way. Home.
